We've taken the 2009 GSX-R1000 back to its roots with an all-new compact engine and an all-new chassis.
The engine is a clean-sheet design maximising combustion efficiency to get the most out of each drop of fuel and provide enhanced throttle response across the entire rev range.
With direct feedback from Suzuki's race teams, cornering performance has been improved, while a longer swingarm provides greater traction and acceleration out of the corners. It's all about being able to get on the power earlier.
The revolutionary new big-piston forks are much more responsive, delivering improved feedback to the rider and providing more controlled compression under hard braking. The new radial-mount monoblock calipers are more rigid for greater feedback at the lever and are also lighter. Along with lighter brake discs and wheels this produces quicker turning, improved acceleration and greater suspension performance
